Sophie, Eloise and Theo Update//Growing Babes

These littles are growing like weeds! I fell down the rabbit hole again, AKA looked at photos from the last few months and my oh my! Eloise has stretched out SO much. I suppose I have been slowly packing away her clothes because they were getting a little short on her but seeing the photos made it pretty obvious that my baby girl is growing up! And Sophie? She's still as witty as ever but she has been stumping us with some pretty heavy questions! Don't get me started with Theo. The boy is such a chunky monkey! I love it.
I figured it was high time I do an update on these growing babes, and what better day to it than National Sibling Day! So here is what these little crazies of mine have been up to...

Sophie Bear//4 years, 2 months

Sophie has grown up so much since the arrival of her baby brother. She's been such a good helper and has added many little responsibilities to her repertoire. I'm so proud of her for stretching herself in little ways, many of them without being prompted by me or Donald.

She always entertains us with her dancing and singing, usually at dinner when she is trying to get out of eating. She also loves making Eloise giggle with her crazy antics. Sophie usually is at her most adorable best when daddy is around. She loves chattering to Donald as he gets ready for work while the rest of us are still in bed. We recently went to a hockey tournament Donald was in and Sophie was going crazy cheering him on. It was so sweet and I know Donald was just loving it!

Sophie's Stats
Favorite movie- Wreck it Ralph
Favorite song- Un Poco Loco from Coco
Favorite outfit- any of her Disney princess nightgowns ( she wears them alllllllll day!)
Favorite activity- playing pretend with Eloise
Favorite book- What are Germs?
New Discovery- Where's Waldo

Ellie Babe//2 years, 5 months

Well it finally happened. We are in the copycat stage. Everything Sophie does Eloise does too. Sophie sings at the top of her lungs, so does Eloise. Sophie will say something and Eloise will repeat it, word for word. Sophie doesn't like something, Eloise all of sudden doesn't like it either. Most of the time, it works in our favor. But once in a while it feels like we have two children who are out to get us! Up until a month ago, Eloise seemed to take pride in being the opposite of her big sister. But since then they have been closer than ever and I feel like this copy-cat thing is a product of that. Like I said, most of the time it's such an adorable dynamic!

When she's not repeating everything Sophie does, Eloise trots around the house, whinnying and pretending to be a horse, Spirit to be exact. If you have kids that watch Netflix then you definitely know which horse I'm talking about! She has accumulated quite the collection of little horse toys that she constantly plays with. Eloise even sneaks them into her bed at night in lieu of a teddy bear or a softy. I think it's so sweet that she has discovered an interest that is all hers.

Eloise's Stats
Favorite show-Spirit: Riding Free
Favorite activity- galloping around the house and neighing ( I told you, this kid is OBSESSED!)
What's new- Eloise is 75% potty trained! Whoot!

Theo//3 1/2 months

The newborn stage is behind us and we are slowly finding our rhythm as a family with this darling boy in our lives. Theodore has been such a wonderful baby, very content, cuddly and smiley. We had a few hiccups at the beginning, mostly because of a lip and tongue tie that we had revised when he was just over his one month birthdate. Luckily, I was referred to an amazing lactation consultant and have a very knowledgeable chiropractor to help us along the way.

Since then, things have been pretty low key! Theo is definitely a mama's boy and never takes his eyes off me if I'm within range. It's so humbling and beautiful, to be unconditionally loved so fiercely by a little soul.

Theodore's Stats
Favorite place to hang out- on his tummy, on the couch
Favorite activity- kicking his bare legs after a diaper change
Favorite soother- his index and middle finger
What's new- Theo is teething! He's sooo drooly and his cheeks are all rosy. I've never felt that I needed amber for my girls but I think i might need an amber necklace for Theodore!

The other day I was thinking how unexciting our lives were and how everything was so mundane. Then I realized that our care-free timelessness is such a gift! Enjoying these three precious kiddos will go down as being the most glorious and truly amazing years of my life.
