Nutmeg & Co

Hi! I'm Megan, wifey to Donald and Mama Bear to Sophie and Eloise. We are the family behind Nutmeg & Co!

Donald and I have been together for 9 1/2 years now, starting back when I was just in grade 12! We both knew from the first date that we were meant to be. We were married when I was 20 and happily began a new adventure together. In our second year of marriage we went on a trip of a lifetime to Europe for a month and a half, blissfully wandering through museums and historical landmarks, sipping delicious espresso and lounging on Italian beaches. It was amazing and I dream of going back again one day!

Nearly two years later we welcomed our beautiful Sophie into the world. We were instantly smitten and still are totally in love with the antics, goofiness, wit and sass that is Sophie! She is definitely a mini version of me, which is both wonderful and terrifying but mostly wonderful.

The following year, another sweet little girl joined our family; Eloise! We were over the moon about being a family with two girls! Eloise has brought so much snuggly warmth into our home. Even though she is pretty little, she is a fierce and busy girl that knows what she wants!

I have always prayed and dreamed of having babies of my own and now that they are here, I feel like every day is so surreal and I am so thankful I get to be at home with them and enjoy this brief and beautiful stage in their childhood!

Another big part of me is making and creating. I love crafting, baking, party planning, pretending to be as cool as Martha Stewart and of course floral design! I've been working with both fresh and felted flowers (Nutmeg & Co Designs ) for quite a few years now and always find the process so rewarding! Whether it's weddings, cake smashes or just a thinking-of-you gift, creating something beautiful for others is the best feeling ever! I've met so many amazing people this way and that is truly the icing on the cake!

I've been dreaming up this blog for a while now and I'm so excited to take the time to document and enjoy my girls and their interests, cuteness and our time together. I'll still make felted flower crowns once in a while (if I have the time! Ah!) as well as working on wedding florals for family and friends.
Here's to adventures with littles, handmade fun and soaking in every day beauty!
